Wildfire Watchdog

Text message alerts

Wildfire Watchdog LLC · Bend, Oregon

What they are

Wildfire Watchdog customers can choose to get automated text messages about their own fire-protection equipment: a pump switching on, a safety stop (for example the pump stopping because no water is flowing), a device going offline, and similar alerts they pick. We send no marketing texts.

How to sign up

Only a signed-in customer can sign up, on the Account page of the Wildfire Watchdog dashboard (watchdog.wildfirewatchdog.com). The form asks for a mobile number, which alerts to text, and a consent box that is not pre-ticked and must be ticked to save:

Mobile number: [ 541-555-1234 ]

Text me for: [x] Safety stop   [x] Power ON   [x] Device offline > 10 min   [ ] Power OFF …

[ ] I agree to receive automated alert text messages from Wildfire Watchdog about my devices at this number (pump power, safety stops, devices offline; at most 10 per hour). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Customers can send themselves a test text, change which alerts they get, or remove their number at any time on the same page.

How often

Only when something happens to the customer’s equipment, and never more than 10 texts per hour.

Example messages

“Wildfire Watchdog: Dry Lightning 4000: Pump stopped: no water flow - flow_gpm 0 < 5 after 2 min running. Reply STOP to opt out.”

“Wildfire Watchdog: Ridge Sprinkler is offline - No data for 11 min. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Stop and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately. Reply HELP for help, or email admin@wildfirewatchdog.com. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
